On January 31, 2026, the BLA-J published a 12:33-minute-long video featuring its commander in chief, Bashir Zeb, riding on a motorcycle and escorted by other fighters of the organisation.

In the video, Bashir Zeb calls on BLA-J militants and the Baloch population to stay united and support the group's efforts in its activities in Balochistan.

The video was published on the occasion of the start of the second phase of Herof Operation, which was launched by BLA-J fighters in several areas of Balochistan, including Quetta, Noshki, Mastung, Dalbandin, Kalat, Kharan, Gwadar, Pasni, Tump and Buleda, In an effort to storm security installations across the province and occupy portions of territory momentarily. According to the BLA-J spokesman, various units of BLA-J participated in the second phase of Operation Herof, including: Fateh Squad, Majeed Brigade, the Intelligence Wing "ZIRAB," and STOS (Special Tactical Operations Squad).
