On November 13, 2025, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) issued a new audio message of its leader, Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud, regarding the killing of Qari Amjid, also known as Mufti Muzahim, who was killed in an intelligence-based operation by security forces in Bajaur tribal district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Amjid held key positions in Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan as its deputy leader, shadow defence minister, and a member of the TTP Rahbari Shura (Leadership Council). He also headed 12 so-called provinces of the TTP in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
