Tehran to Host Afghanistan–Iran Border Talks in Solar Year 1405 The Iranian Embassy in Kabul announced that Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, held a telephone conversation with Noorullah Noori, the Islamic Emirate’s Minister of Borders, Tribes, and Ethnic Affairs, focusing on border-related cooperation between the two neighbors. According to the statement, both sides assessed current bilateral coordination on border issues as constructive and highlighted the importance of renewing and maintaining border markers. They also underscored the need to strengthen technical and legal collaboration to address outstanding matters. The two officials agreed to accelerate expert-level and legal discussions between Kabul and Tehran. It was further confirmed that the next round of border talks will be hosted by Iran during the 1405 solar year, corresponding to 2026.

Afghanistan Imposes Full Ban on Medicine Imports from Pakistan The Afghan government has imposed a complete ban on the import of medicines from Pakistan, effective today Monday, the 20th of the month of (Dalwa) Solar year. Earlier, on the first day of Dalwa, the Ministry of Finance had instructed medicine importers to finalize and clear all pending transactions and documentation within a 19-day period. At the time, the ministry announced that medicines imported from Pakistan would no longer be cleared through the country’s customs offices after the 20th of Dalwa. The decision marks a full suspension of customs processing for Pakistani medicines at Afghan border points and ports of entry.

Afghan Deputy Spokesman Says UNAMA Report on Pakistani Attacks Is Close to Reality Hamdullah Fitrat, Deputy Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, said that a report by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) documenting civilian casualties caused by Pakistani military attacks in 2025 is close to reality. Fitrat said the attacks resulted in the deaths and injuries of civilians, including women, children, and athletes, stressing that such incidents caused serious harm to the civilian population. Earlier on Sunday, UNAMA said in a report that during 2025, Pakistani attacks near the Durand Line resulted in casualties among 613 Afghan civilians. The report highlights growing concerns over the impact of cross-border military operations on civilians living in border areas.
